Spring is finally here! Get out and go for a bike ride in the sunshine, among the blooming flowers. Biking in the spring is a blast, and it’s a great excuse to stay active and go outside too. Whether you’re just learning to ride a bike or you already know how, here are some ways to make the most of spring cycling.
Perhaps the greatest aspect of cycling in spring is the gentle push of the warm wind against your face. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, everything is so full of life! It’s a good time to get out and take in what make the season beautiful from the seat of your bike.
Spring is such a beautiful time of year along with flowers and the trees growing their new leaves. There is no feeling like riding your bike in a field of wildflowers or along a trail with trees. You can see and smell the bounty of the season. It's a lovely way to enjoy nature and see how beautiful it is around us.
Check Your Bike: Ensure your bike is in good working order before taking it out. Take a look at the tires, brakes, gears, and see if everything is okay. If you need assistance, a parent or guardian may help.

Put a Helmet On: Wear a helmet any time you are on a bike. It’s there to protect your head if you happen to fall. Assure that your helmet is properly fitted and secured before you start riding.

K Your Brakes: Check your brakes to ensure they’re in good working order. If they don’t, tighten or loosen them to fit your height following your bike’s manual or ask an adult for help.

Arrange a Family Bike Ride: Gather your household for a springtime bike ride in your neighborhood or an adjacent park. I think it’s a great way to be together and spend time in nature.
